Luxury real estate in the Algarve is booming, and the trend looks set to continue for this coming year. With demand outstripping supply, now is a great time to sell. The winter market tends to be a little less busy, meaning that buyers have fewer choices and are often specifically looking to purchase.
Even so, it still doesn’t hurt to give your property a quick freshen up. We’ve put together our suggestions for a quick and easy sale:
1. Hiring an Agent. An experienced agent will help you present the property well on paper, set a realistic price that maximises value within the current market, and take care of the logistics. 2. Good Photography. A picture speaks 1000 words. Good photography is an easy way to get potential buyers to visit the property in person. The best option is to hire a professional photographer, but, if you do it yourself, be sure to photograph the rooms in natural light and from several angles, including using a wide lens.

5.Highlight special features. A garden with an incredible view, beautiful original features, or an expansive outdoor living space can all tick the boxes for buyers looking for the perfect villa in the Algarve. Let buyers see the potential of the space without wondering how hard it will be to maintain. Trim back any unwieldy bushes or trees and add colourful garden accessories to make up for a lack of off-season foliage. Or call in a gardener to really make an impact.
2018 In The Algarve

From March to May, Vasco Célio showcases his cultural exploration of historical events in the exhibition 'Torches' at São Brás de Alportel Municipal Gallery (29 March - 6 May).
Local food and drink takes centre stage at the end of April in Tavira at Gastronomy of the Sea, while summer visitors can enjoy more local epicurean delights at the Feira da Terra local market (first Saturday of each month between June - October).
